What is Skopd?
Skopd is a content-review app for parents. You set the standards that matter to your family, and Skopd's AI checks movies, TV shows, video games, and books against them — so you can decide ahead of time what your kids can watch, read, or play.
What can Skopd review?
Movies, TV shows, video games, and books. Add any title and Skopd reviews it against your family's criteria, then saves the result to your family library so everyone can see what's approved.
How does the AI review work?
When you add a title, Skopd sends it to our AI reviewer along with your family's criteria. The AI analyzes the content — language, themes, violence, and anything else you've asked about — and writes a clear, structured summary. You read it and set the final verdict. The AI never decides for you; that's always your call.
Can I customize what gets reviewed?
Yes — that's the heart of Skopd. Turn on the categories you care about (like language, violence, or scary scenes), write your own in plain language, and set hard "never" rules that are an automatic no. Every review runs against your list, not a generic rating like PG-13 — and you can update it anytime as your kids grow.
What do the verdicts mean?
Every title gets one of three verdicts: Yes! (good to go), With Me (okay if a parent is watching too), or Nope (not for our family). With Per-Kid Verdicts turned on, you can even set a different verdict for each child on the same title.
Can my kids use Skopd too?
Yes. Kids log in with their own name and a PIN, where they can request new titles and appeal a decision — but they can't edit or delete anything. You stay in control of every verdict, and with Per-Kid Verdicts on, each child only sees the titles you've reviewed for them.
The Story

WHY WE BUILT SKOPD.

Skopd started out with just us, two parents, reading reviews, watching things first, and trying to work out whether a movie, show, game or book actually lined up with what our family believes. No rating system fit us because ratings aren't built for any one family.

The more we reviewed, the clearer it got: every family faces the same question when it comes to media consumption, but no two families answer it the same way. So we built the tool we wished we'd had all along. One that adapts to our standards instead of asking us to accept someone else's. Then we realized this idea could help so many more families protect what's most important for them: their unique values.
